This paper shows the pace of change in central Tokyo by estimating expected business life time of each business type and each district from the data gathered within a finite time window. The spatial distribution of business lifetime is visualized on the map, and it is noted that the northern part of Minato-ku and Chuo-kuare changing areas while outside of Yamanote loop line are stable areas. It is also found that informationtechnology business, design business and some others have short life time, that is, those businesses are changeable. Change ability is not only affected by the business composition but also by local events such as demolition of buildings with a lot of occupants and by other characteristics of each district.
