抄録

With the aim of development on methodology of fire risk assessment on electric cables, sheath and insulation materials of electric cables were tested in ISO single smoke chamber (ISO 5659-2) and generated gases were measured by FTIR, and the cables were tested by EN vertical flammability test for cables (EN50399) and gases were also measured by FTIR. The test results were compared and analyzed with a view to establishing comparative fire risk assessment on materials used in electric cables utilizing test data obtained by the single smoke chamber test with FTIR taking into account of burning characteristics of electric cables.
