KEKNET, a high speed on-line network for data acquisition and analysis in high energy physics, has been running since February 1977 at KEK. A short summary of KEKNET is presented with the emphasis on the results obtained in using CAMAC interfaces between a front-end and terminal computers. The transfer speed from a terminal to the central computer (1 km away) is 178. 7 kbytes/sec. for a block length of 8192 bytes.
