An Ag atmospheric corrosion sensor on a flexible plastic film was fabricated using screen-printing. In the impedance measurement by the newly developed sensor, dew condensation can be detected by the appearance of capacitive behavior. And the amount of atmospheric corrosion can be calculated by resistmetry of the sensor wiring. Printed counter electrodes were developed to perform chronopotentiometry for the corroded sensor. Chronopotentiograms, which are measured by printed sensor and counter electrodes with thin gel electrolyte, allows qualitative and quantitative analyses of corrosion products formed on the sensors. In addition, the amount of corrosion determined from the resistance change was compared with the quantitative results of the cathode reduction method, and the accuracy of the sensing by developed sensor was discussed.
