Abstract
Two crystal structures of [Cu(tacn)(Hbim)](ClO4)·MeOH (2) (tacn = 1,4,7-triazacyclononane) and [Cu(SalenNMe2)(Hbim)]2 (1) (salenNMe2 = N-salicylidene-N′,N′-dimethylethylenediamine) have been determined. The structures are the first examples of a mononuclear complex containing monodeprotonated 2,2′-biimidazolate (Hbim-) as a bidentate ligand.
