N2 - Localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPR) of metal nanostructures exhibit peculiar resonance spectra depending on their size, shape and composition. We focus on Au nanorings supported by Pd nanosheets for possible applications in catalysts. In this study, we have prepared Au double nanorings by chemical synthesis in the liquid phase and investigated their optical properties.
