Abstract

The authors have developed and tested a prototype FCV equipped with the proposed hydrogen supply system fueled by NaBH4. However, when a large amount of hydrogen is generated, a large amount of the bubbles is generated and occupies the most part in the reactor of the hydrogen supply system. Therefore, although this conventional system has a tall cylinder shape reactor, the hydrogen supply flow rate cannot increase more. This paper describes about a novel prototype hydrogen reactor with capability of withstanding higher pressure and examines the suppression effect of the bubbles in the reactor under high pressure condition. As a result, it was clarified that the bubbles can be suppressed by increasing the pressure in the reactor.
