Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the age of air distribution with collection rate, the decay rate with gravity settling, and the results of measurements. In the experiment, artificial droplets were sprayed into the experimental space using a medical nebulizer, and concentration decay was measured to confirm the age of air distribution. Based on the age of air distribution, a uniform air cleaning effect can be expected even if the air purifier is installed in a large space. However, as the particle size increases, the age of air becomes smaller, and the effect of evaporation in addition to filter collection, air leakage, and gravity settling is found to be significant.
