Scheme implementation of the functional language for mobile agents with dynamic extension

Abstract

This paper presents a scheme implementation of the prototypical functional language for controlling intelligent robots. We have demonstrated that coordinated systems that control intelligent robots are effectively constructed by higher-order mobile agents. The system was built in Java language. We reported that such system could be described in a functional language. The proposed system was implemented as a language processor that translates the functional language into Java source codes. In this paper, we report that the entire higher-order mobile agent system can be implemented in a functional setting. Such a system has superior compatibility with existing Lisp-based knowledgebase system that makes autonomous robots more intelligent. The functional description language is implemented in the Scheme environment.
