This paper describes a response analysis method considering heat-mechanics interaction behavior of lead rubber bearings (LRB). There are two important points in simulating this behavior. Firstly, we need to evaluate the temperature rise of the lead plug due to seismic energy absorption. Secondly, we need to simulate the change of mechanical properties caused by the temperature rise. This paper proposes a heat conduction analysis applying the difference method and the relationship between the temperature and yield stress of the lead. The proposed method is easy to apply for response analysis considering heat-mechanics interaction behavior of a seismically isolated structure.
