Abstract

Lath-mortar wall is widely used on conventional wooden house, and the wall using furring strips for damp proof is particularly attracting the attention because of its good durability. However, the past studies on seismic resistant performance of lath-mortar wall were limited. Herein, the horizontal loading tests are conducted to clarify the resistant mechanism and inelastic behavior. From test results, it is confirmed that the rigidity and strength are affected by the shearing strength of staple nail joint. Furthermore, the analytical model of restoring force characteristics is suggested. From analytical results, the proposed can chase the test results well.
