A 267-mV input and 122-ns fall time, pre-charged cross-coupled pulse voltage doubler for low-voltage thermoelectric energy harvesting

Abstract

This paper proposes a pre-charged cross-coupled doubler (PCCD) that enhances output voltage and pulse fall time in TEG boosting circuits, while reducing rush-current-induced power loss and waveform degradation observed in the double cross-coupled doubler (DCCD). Simulations demonstrated a 457-mV output from a 267-mV input, with a 122-ns pulse fall time and 3.9 pJ/bit energy, enabling efficient boosting for thermoelectric generators.
