Abstract

An evaluation of bond performance of the reinforced concrete (RC) specimen with hot-dip galvanized rebar was carried out in three types of stress field: compressive, tensile, and bending and shearing. The bond stress between rebar and concrete was evaluated with non-destructive and non-contact method by neutron diffraction using TAKUMI, in MLF, J-PARC. As a result, compared with ordinary rebar, axial stress distribution on hot-dip galvanized rebar embedded in concrete showed a similar tendency in any types of stress field. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the bond performance of hot-dip galvanized rebar is equivalent to that of ordinary rebar.
